What is Gamma Iota Sigma?Gamma Iota Sigma is a professional fraternity organized to: promote, encourage and sustain student interest in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science as professions; encourage high moral and scholastic attainments and; facilitate the interaction and cooperation of educational institutions, industry, and professional organizations by fostering research, scholarship, and improved public relations. Who Can Join?Membership in the Zeta Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma is open to any student of Georgia State University in the RMI program and not in their last semester of the program. How Do I Join?Complete an application from this website and pay the annual membership dues of $85. The application must be delivered to an officer or the advisor, and the dues check must be made payable to Education Foundation Inc. (EFI). Why Should I Join?Participation in the chapter activities fosters involvement with the insurance industry, support from other students in the Risk and Insurance program, and exposure to career, scholarship, and internship opportunities. |
